HQ Raleigh, Carolina Small Business Development Fund Partner to Support Military Veteran Entrepreneurs

June 7, 2017 / Janice Rojas / Press Releases

(Raleigh, NC) – HQ Community and Carolina Small Business Development Fund (CSBDF) are partnering  to offer veteran-owned small businesses in the Triangle, Triad and Charlotte with affordable workspaces and innovative services to scale their business.

This unique joint veteran initiative offers veteran entrepreneurs with a membership to the HQ Community with locations in Raleigh, Charlotte and Greensboro. This includes free co-working space in any HQ Community’s offices, access to HQ member benefits, support through HQ Labs, and more. Veteran entrepreneurs will also have the opportunity to gain visibility among the HQ Community through newsletters, signage, and events while expanding their networks and being in an ecosystem that encourages innovation and creativity.

“Our goal with this partnership is to help military veteran entrepreneurs reach their business aspirations by offering them an ecosystem where they will thrive and find the necessary resources they need to succeed,” said Lenwood V. Long, Sr., President/CEO of CSBDF. “We are excited about our unique partnership with HQ Community and the opportunity to create economic opportunities for the veteran community to succeed.”

“By partnering with CSBDF, we are able to extend HQ’s member benefits to more military veterans who are building and scaling high-impact, high growth companies,” says Christopher Gergen, a Founding Partner of HQ Community.  “Through this support we can help strengthen a critical segment of North Carolina’s entrepreneurial community and collectively deepen our impact throughout the state.”

This new partnership addresses major challenges that entrepreneurs face: building a support community while gaining access to capital and affordable office space. With these challenges in mind, these two organizations aspire to strengthen economic development and serve as a catalyst for veteran entrepreneurs and small business owners statewide.
