The Eastern Women’s Business Center (EWBC) was created through a partnership between Carolina Small Business Development and Elizabeth City State University to provide an ecosystem of support to female entrepreneurs that will provide sustainable growth and job creation in Northeastern North Carolina. The EWBC will serve the Northeastern region of North Carolina by providing high quality technical assistance, one-on-one counseling, networking, marketing opportunities and programs; and the CSBDF will fully support the Eastern Women’s Business Center by promoting and providing access to capital to eligible entrepreneurs, start-ups and small business owners. These services will allow women-owned businesses to grow and strengthen and will allow for CSBDF to increase its impact in the region.
The Eastern Women’s Business Center is committed to providing financial education to women entrepreneurs in four ways:
- One-on-one assistance
- In-depth business coaching and counseling
- Educational opportunities
- Access to capital
By providing a full range of services, the EWBC meets the needs of women entrepreneurs facing challenges in accessing capital and resources to establish a successful business. From drafting a business plan to implementing and marketing your business, the EWBC helps women entrepreneurs to achieve their business dreams.
In addition to one-on-one assistance and coaching, the EWBC provides a range of educational opportunities for entrepreneurs. These are a few examples of the types of workshops and classes we offer. Please check our calendar for upcoming events.
Networking & Workshops
The workshops and networking events offer entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn and engage with other business owners. Our monthly workshops focus on networking and discussion of business topics such as marketing, managing cash flow, financial tools, procurement and contracting, and more.
For entrepreneurs seeking more in-depth training on specific topics, we offer courses that focus on specific topics such as Quickbooks for the Small Business and Business Loan seminars.
