The Eastern Women’s Entrepreneurship Center (EWEC) is a program of Carolina Small Business Development Fund (CSBDF) in partnership with Elizabeth City State University to provide an ecosystem of support to female entrepreneurs that will provide sustainable growth and job creation in Northeastern North Carolina.
The EWEC serves the Northeastern region of North Carolina by providing high-quality technical assistance, one-on-one counseling, networking, marketing opportunities, and programs. CSBDF fully supports the EWEC by promoting and providing access to capital to eligible entrepreneurs, start-ups, and small business owners.
The Eastern Women’s Entrepreneurship Center is committed to providing financial education to women entrepreneurs in four ways:
- Business coaching
- Educational opportunities
- Access to capital
By providing a full range of services, the EWEC meets the needs of women entrepreneurs facing challenges in accessing capital and resources to establish a successful business. From drafting a business plan to implementing and marketing your business, the EWEC helps women entrepreneurs to achieve their business dreams.
In addition to one-on-one assistance and coaching, the EWEC provides a range of educational opportunities for entrepreneurs. These are a few examples of the types of workshops and classes we offer.
Networking & Workshops
The workshops and networking events offer entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn and engage with other business owners. Our monthly workshops focus on networking and discussion of business topics such as marketing, managing cash flow, financial tools, procurement and contracting, and more.
For entrepreneurs seeking more in-depth training on specific topics, we offer courses that focus on specific topics such as Quickbooks for the Small Business and Business Loan seminars.
