ADAM SAFER

Adam Safer joined CSBDF in 2023. As the Director of Economic Development Policy, he works with colleagues and organizational partners to highlight the roles played by small business owners in community economic development. Adam also conducts analyses of programs and policies impacting CSBDF and the CDFI industry more broadly. Adam holds PhD and MA degrees in Sociology from Stony Brook University and a BA degree in Education Studies from the New School University. He has worked for nonprofit organizations as an educator, marketing professional, and administrator. Originally from Philadelphia, Adam enjoys basketball, swimming, hiking, and spending time with his wife and their one dog and two cats.
