JONATHAN COLLINS

Jonathan Collins is a former restaurant owner turned entrepreneurial support specialist.  He serves CSBDF as a Business Solutions Officer. Having started and grown his own businesses, he understands the unique struggles that entrepreneurs face as they get going and grow.  Jonathan is a dedicated mentor to entrepreneurs at all phases of their business. Working with various local groups and organizations, Jonathan has committed his time and expertise in building, operating, and selling businesses to help those launching their own enterprises.

He is passionate about his work in the entrepreneurial support space and looks to continue expanding his skillset and connections further through ongoing relationships with local economic development and entrepreneurial support organizations.  He served as the director of the Small Business Center at Durham Tech Community College for the past 2+ years and is excited to work with CSBDF to help create more equitable access to capital for local small businesses. He currently lives in Durham with his husband TJ and their two dogs Ruby Doo and Twyla.
